Q.01Is this legal advice?
Yes. Safe Harbor is a law practice — a division of Cantatore Law PLLC. When you engage us for an FTC Compliance Review you receive legal counsel under an attorney-client relationship, and your materials and report gain attorney-client privilege. Contact forms and consultations don't establish that relationship — it begins only upon signing a formal engagement letter.
Q.02Who is this service designed for?
Small businesses that market and sell online, including: coaches, consultants, course creators, influencers, agencies, e-commerce brands, SaaS and membership businesses, and wellness companies. If you use testimonials, run subscriptions, make marketing claims, or collect customer data, this review is for you.
Q.03What does the Fixed-Fee FTC Review include?
A comprehensive review of your website, sales funnels, marketing materials, testimonials and endorsements, subscription and billing practices, advertising claims, and privacy-related representations. Deliverables: a written report with findings, risk ratings, and actionable plain-language recommendations, plus an optional follow-up call.
Q.04What if I need help implementing the recommendations?
Implementation support is available as a separate paid engagement — rewriting copy, drafting disclosures, testimonial policies, restructuring billing, and more. It's scoped independently so you only pay for what you need.
Q.05Do you help with ongoing compliance?
The standard review is point-in-time. Ongoing advisory arrangements — new-campaign reviews, monitoring, and periodic re-assessments — are available to discuss on your free call.
Q.06Do you work with larger businesses?
Our focus is small and growing businesses, and we're well-suited to most online enterprises under roughly $10M in revenue. Larger, multi-brand, or complex-regulatory needs may be better served by a larger firm — though our parent firm, Cantatore Law, can help with broader commercial needs.
Q.07How fast can we get started?
Most engagements begin within 1 week of the signed engagement letter and payment. Review turnaround is typically 10–15 business days from materials submission to final report.
Q.08Does submitting the contact form make me a client?
No. Submitting a form, booking a free call, or emailing us does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only after mutual agreement and a formal engagement letter.
Q.09What's a "free call"?
A short (15–20 minute) phone or video conversation to learn about your business, discuss where compliance risk might sit, and decide whether the FTC & E-Commerce Compliance Review is the right next step. No fees, no commitments.
Q.10Can you guarantee we'll be FTC-compliant after the review?
We can guarantee you a comprehensive, solid review of your individual business compliance risks and provide you with practical guidelines to address any shortcomings. That said, no attorney can guarantee regulatory outcomes. We identify risks, explain FTC guidance, and give specific risk-reduction recommendations — but compliance is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time checklist.
Q.11What's NOT included in the Fixed-Fee Review?
Not covered: litigation or FTC defense, trademark, patent, or IP matters, state-specific regulatory analysis, contract drafting, and ongoing monitoring. Privacy-policy drafting is available as an add-on. Several of these — IP, contracts, trademark and copyright — are handled by our parent firm, Cantatore Law.
“Good — you're here now. This is manageable. We've got your back.”
Whatever brought you here — a nagging worry about your testimonials, a new subscription offer, or just the sense that your marketing has outgrown your compliance — the next step is a brief, no-obligation conversation, to see how we can help.
